I found it interesting for its long history as a center for trade, evolving from housing butchers and blacksmiths to becoming home exclusively to jewelers and goldsmiths, reflecting how its purpose and status changed over time.
In this drawing, I aimed to capture the bridge’s intricate details, paying special attention to each individual shop, now symbols of the bridge’s evolution over time. Each facade, window, and roof detail contributes to a sense of awe.
